The Anseye Pou Ayiti movement seeks to unite all those – in Haiti and beyond – who support dramatic change in education outcomes for all children, while dispelling any notions about poverty dictating the true potential of a nation.
APA will ensure our teacher-leaders work in existing rural and underserved primary schools where they will have maximum impact — raising education outcomes and altering the life trajectory of their students. APA cohort teachers are not replacing school staff, but rather fill open positions and increase existing schools’ capacity.
Where are APA’s Partnerships with Local Placement Schools? Over 90 partner schools during the 2020-2021 school year, now working in 5 partner communities of Gros-Morne, Gonaives, Mirebalais, Boucan Carré & Hinche.
As of January 2015, Anseye Pou Ayiti became a partner organization with Teach For All global network. Each independent organization’s model is tailored to country context, local needs assessment, and cultural relevance.
As stated by the Haitian proverb: “Men anpil, chay pa lou” (many hands lighten the load)!
