Across Haiti, civic leaders are building the foundation for learning, leadership, and opportunity within their communities. This campaign strengthens the bridge — supporting current APA civic leaders while also preparing the next generation to carry this work forward.

Over the years, APA’s donor campaigns have grown into a shared tradition of community, generosity, and investment in civic leadership.

During APA’s 10th anniversary campaign in 2024, over 260 allies, community members, and alumni raised $102,564 — surpassing our goal of $100,000. Their contributions, which were doubled through a generous matching gift, created opportunities for hundreds of Teacher Leaders, School Leaders, Parent Leaders, and Coaching Institute participants to reach their full potential and lead change in their communities.

This year, we continue what has already been built.

Every dollar donated is matched dollar for dollar by a partner who believes strong communities are built through proximate leadership — when leaders closest to the challenges are equipped to drive meaningful change. When those local leaders reclaim their culture's assets and power. That is APA.

What this means:

By June 30, we aim to raise $30,000 in individual contributions – which will unlock an equal amount in matching support and bringing the total impact to $60,000.

Your support will help:

Welcome 100 new cohort members into APA’s Fellowship Programming and Coaching Institute this summer. These Teacher Leaders, School Leaders, Parent Leaders, and Coaching Institute participants are part of APA’s larger commitment to equip 50,000 civic leaders across Haiti who will drive lasting change in schools and communities.
Strengthen and celebrate APA’s growing alumni network — now nearly 800 civic leaders strong. The past year has been a fruitful one of collaboration and impact. Your support helps bring alumni together this July for APA’s annual gathering, a joyful space for reflection, connection, and celebration of the work already unfolding across Haiti. It will also support professional development workshops this summer, creating continued opportunities for alumni to learn and grow together.
At a time when staying connected matters deeply, your support helps bring this bridge closer to completion. It carries civic leaders forward as they learn from one another and build a better future together, with care and collective action at the center.
